Part-Time Administrative Assistant / Legal Secretary (Temp-to-Hire)

Our client is seeking a Part-Time Administrative Assistant / Legal Secretary to support a busy legal office. This opportunity is open to both entry-level candidates and experienced professionals. Prior litigation experience is not required, as the firm is willing to train the right individual. The ideal candidate is organized, tech-savvy, professional, and able to take direction in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide overall administrative support to attorneys and office staff.
  • Assist professional staff with special projects and day-to-day tasks.
  • Coordinate mediation dates and maintain scheduling calendars.
  • Prepare and update discovery shells and legal document templates.
  • Save and organize emails and documents within firm directories.
  • File investigative documents, billing records, and client materials.
  • Check, process, distribute, and scan incoming mail.
  • Answer and direct incoming phone calls.
  • Draft, proofread, and format correspondence and legal documents.
  • Maintain electronic and physical client files.
  • Schedule meetings, conference calls, and appointments.
  • Prepare engagement letters, transmittal letters, and other routine legal documents.
  • Assist with court filings and service-related documents as needed.
  • Track deadlines and provide calendar support for attorneys.
  • Order office supplies and assist with general office management tasks.
  • Perform data entry and maintain accurate records.
